Art Deco Paste / Diamanté Butterfly Dress Clips - also great Hair Accessories
Fabulous matching pair of Art Deco dress clips in a wonderful and unusual butterfly design, with ruby and emerald paste eyes (one has green eyes, one has red). These wonderful antique 1920s dress clips are formed of silver metal and pavé-set with tiny paste/ diamanté stones to the wings and body. In great condition with no missing stones, each clip measures 29mm tall by 39mm wide.
The dress clip became a wonderful new, highly fashionable accessory for the upper classes during the Art Deco period - a period of time and a design movement renowned for its glamour, elegance and new ideas. Dress clips were created and worn to add an extra touch of sophistication and prestige to an outfit, decorating the necklines and the furs of the most stylish. Each design was a miniature work of art and craftsmanship.
Dress clips fasten onto clothing with a simple clip to hold them in place and are highly versatile. They look fabulous for example on the neckline of a simple black dress, or a jacket’s lapels - or even placed at the edges of a sweater, and transform an outfit and offer a great talking point.

Items are posted out within 2 working days of receipt of payment, unless the item is an urgent gift for next day delivery, in which case it will be sent that day if orders are placed by 1pm and this service is selected.
